A dentist “since he was young”
For Dr Moosa, dentistry began long before university. As a young boy, he found himself drawn to smiles — and to the power a smile has to connect people. After a childhood check-up sparked curiosity, he started researching oral health and realised something that stayed with him:
“That is when I realised that I’ve been a dentist since I was young, I just never knew.”
He sees a smile as more than a facial expression — it’s a deeply human signal of confidence, warmth and wellbeing. And being able to protect and improve that is something he truly values.
Why he loves dentistry
Ask Dr Moosa what he enjoys most day-to-day, and his answer is refreshingly human:
“When we interact with patients we do more than just look at teeth because behind the teeth, is a much more interesting individual.”
He loves the creativity of dentistry — but even more than that, he loves what dentistry can do for people: restore health, rebuild confidence, and bring hope through transformation.
